| The Chase Magazine Cover Page November, 1974 We are pleased to again feature on our cover the beautiful hounds from the Janney's Combination Kennels of Daytona Beach, Florida. The Janney's will tell you about the hounds shown on the cover. Showboat Janney, upper left, is sixteen months old by Ch. Florida's Dr. Janney out of Miss Frisky Janney. He recently won Best in Show at the Duval County hunt near Jacksonville, Florida. He is a big red hound, has a beautiful disposition and is a pleasure to own. He was pictured as a four week old pup on the September 1973 issue of The Chase and is owned by daughter, Dianne. Gater Janney, upper right, twenty one months old is by Ch. Florida's Dr. Janney out of Teddo Randolph II. Gator is a fine running hound with a good mouth and runs a fox the way we like to hear one run. He places high on the bench and in three field trials, finished the first one, placed 7th HGA and won Derby Combination in the third. He is a strong built 26" hound. Beachcomber Janney, lower left, is five mnoths old in this picture. She is by Ch. Florida's Dr. Janney ex Miss Frisky Janney. This pup is a much deeper red than the picture shows and has good bone and feet. He has already won as a pup and we feel he will do a lot of winning in the future. Patti-Ann Janney, lower right, is a littermate to Showboat, a 24" bitch, very typey and easy to handle on the bench. We plan to show her this fall, then breed her to our new stud, Goff's Big Dan, recently purchased from Mr. J. B. Goff, in Ohio. |
